How To Get Twitter Back On Snaptu (Trick)

If you’re an avid Twitter user and prefer Snaptu for hanging out with your Twitter friends, you may be aware that Facebook has acquired Snaptu application earlier this year and the old version of the app had already been removed back in September. Facebook has been reminding users to upgrade the Snaptu app for a long time now.

About a month back, I shared the download link of old Snaptu on my another blog. Some of you might be using the old version but there is a bad news, Facebook has shut down, as expected, some applications on Snaptu and that also include Twitter. Facebook wouldn’t have liked Snaptu to offer competing platforms. It’s really a bad news for phone owners who had access to Twitter through the light java app.

Well, you will be happy to know that I’ve found a trick to get back Twitter app on Snaptu. I don’t know how long it will work, but at the time of writing this post, the trick is 100% working. Yep, you’re going to get the mobile-friendly Twitter interface back, as before. Just follow the step by step instructions mentioned below to get Twitter app back on Snaptu. Thanks to @nikitajadhav.

Bring back the Twitter app on Snaptu

Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account (you can use your PC/Laptop). Now, update your Twitter profile URL as a Facebook status. Don’t forget to use http in the URL. For your ease, you can copy the below URL and replace ‘avitricks’ with your Twitter username and update it as a status on your Facebook profile. You can choose whom you want to share it with in the status box though it doesn’t really matter.

Step 2: Now open up the Snaptu app on your phone. On the main Snaptu screen, click Facebook icon and log in to your Facebook account if you haven’t, already. Now open your profile and click on the status that you just updated (Step one). You’ll be given options such as Like, Comment, View Profile, View Wall etc. Scroll down you’ll see your Twitter username as a link at the bottom. Just follow the link, and voila! You’re now seeing your Twitter profile on the same mobile-friendly interface as you used to (before).

Step 3: Once you’ve completed the 2nd step, just click the menu and select ‘Home’ from the options that will appear on your screen. That’s it! It’s that easy .

Believe me, it’s not that time consuming, and if you really love Snaptu Twitter app, you’ll have to undergo the above tiresome method and it shouldn’t be a big deal for Twitter lovers, as it’s the only way to bring Twitter back on the Snaptu app.
