It’s the Olympics season going on and Google wants us to participate in the sports by playing Doodle Games. For the third consecutive day, Google has launched another game as a Doodle on the search engine homepage. Earlier we have seen and played Google Doodle Basketball and Google Doodle Hurdles in the last 2 days. Today it’s Slalom Canoe on the Google homepage in which we have to kayak as fast as possible down the river.
Google Doodle Slalom Canoe Game starts with a man, sitting in a special class of yellow-coloured boat (which is known as Canoe), who is all set to surf the waves and waiting for you to press the keys. Google will tell you the instructions to play the game if you’re playing it for the first game. Slalom Canoe is the most difficult game among all Google Doodles games. The game gets interesting when you have to pass through the beacons while moving ahead in the right direction. To get good score, you’ll have to avoid all the obstacles and kayak as fast as you can.
Although I’m neither much of a Kayaking fan nor I have ever tried Kayaking, but this game seems be to interesting. In this post, I’m going to tell you how you can easily get high score in Google Doodle Slalom Canoe. The trick here I’m going to use is the same one that we used yesterday for Google Doodle Basketball game. Read on to learn more about how it’s done.
Launch the browser (I use Google Chrome) and open Google.com. You’ll see the Slalom Canoe Game, and a blue button that you have to click on to start the game. Now you have to kayak until you reach the finish line. When you will finish the game, it instantly shows you the score based on points and stars.
Now move your mouse to the score number, right click on it and select ‘Inspect Element’ from the Context Menu(Screenshot Above). It will open the developers tool box where you should see the HTML coding used to display the webpage and yes your score as well. Next, you have to find the HTML part that you have to edit to make changes to the webpage.
Look at the image below, you have to do the same. You have to double click the score number and change the number to whatever you want. As you see that the game is time based (The Lower The Better), just write a lower number. Keep in mind that if you write a very lower number, you friends will immediately find out that you’re fooling around. I think you already get what I want to say.
Now to get all 3 stars, you will have to replace ‘smh’ with ‘smg’ in the HTML coding. That’s it!! You can now close the developers tool box and take a screenshot of the result. Show off your high score by posting it on your social network profiles. Your friends are never going to find out that this is done using a cheat unless you write a invalid number as your score.
Also, if you’re using Firefox or other browsers, open the firebug and edit the score part in the HTML coding. I’m not going to tell you how it’s done in all browsers. Help yourself!!
