Facebook has again changed the layout. This time, it’s Facebook Photo Viewer that got a redesign, which now looks much similar to Google+ Photo viewer. I really like the revamped Facebook Photo Viewer. Thanks to Google Plus. Hadn’t it been in Google+, Facebook would have never thought about this development.
Now let’s talk about the new Facebook Photo Viewer. It’s been about 10 hours since Facebook updated its Photo Viewer layout, and the new design is being rolled out to all users. So those of you who haven’t got the update, you will soon be presented with the new Photo Viewer, like in the screenshot below.
As I stated above, it’s just a copy of Google Plus Photo Viewer, where comments and activities (Like & Share) are now being displayed next to the photo (At the right sidebar) with a dark screen at the back. You don’t need to scroll down the whole page to view all the comments on the photo. Just scroll down in the right side bar that displays comments and activities, and the photo will remain fixed onto the layout.
Switch Back to Old Facebook Photo Viewer
I really like this new Photo viewer in Facebook but not everyone likes it. So I’m sharing a simple trick that will be helpful to see photos in old Facebook Photo Viewer. Actually there are now 2 tricks that you can use to switch back to old Photo Viewer. Thanks to Labnol.
- When the new Photo Viewer opens, hit ‘F5’ and you’ll go back to classic layout.
- or Hold the ‘CTRL’ button on your keyboard while clicking the thumbnail of any photo on Facebook.
It’s that simple. Share this post on your Facebook wall, and let your friends and family know about this trick.
